If you are assigned to a department where corruption is deeply rooted, and your seniors expect you to follow the same path, how would you handle the situation?

When we consider any of the public departments of Pakistan, we can conclude that there is not a single department that is free of corruption. Unfortunately, since Pakistan came into being, our country has undergone a high influence of corruption. The bureaucratic system, along with the political system of Pakistan, tried to force the new candidates or newly appointed bureaucrats to follow the exact path of corruption they were leading to.

In that case, the survival of such a person, such a bureaucrat, who is pure in his thoughts and his ideas about his country and the betterment of the country, becomes very difficult when the bureaucratic and political pressure comes to him and forces him to follow the path of corruption. We should consider that corruption is an illegal and unethical act, and we must avoid it. But when there is a great political influence in your country, and political figures are being harmed by eliminating corruption from the political and bureaucratic systems both, then the survival of an innocent person becomes very difficult in the system.

In the history of Pakistan, if we consider the case of many bureaucrats, such as Asher, he was a customs officer and wanted to eliminate corruption from his department. This spirit of Asher threatened the political figures, politicians, and bureaucrats of his system, and they took the worst revenge against him. They started a trial against him and deported him from the country on the charge of corruption. We must remove this from our system so that new people could join the system with pure thoughts for the betterment of their country.

In Pakistan, there are some anti-corruption law enforcement agencies working, such as NAB. We should take action against such people, such as bureaucrats and politicians, by gathering the strongest evidence against them. In Pakistan, once Iqar al-Hasan said that everything is possible with the determination of the nation. If every civil servant and public administrator is willing to remove this factor from our system, then it is possible because as many complaints as are registered against a politician or a bureaucrat who is influencing the system and introducing the heritage of bribery and other types of corruption, it would be very difficult for any of the law enforcement agencies, even under high influence, to secure him from legal action.

At last, I would conclude that I believe that life is a priceless gift by Allah for a human being. We should not feel stressed due to such political influences and bureaucratic pressures because we have to die, and this is decided by Allah. How are we going to die?
